Higher Education Policy & Advocacy

Service & Public Engagement

In my role as the Vice-President for External Affairs for the Graduate Student Assembly from 2012-2014, I led three delegations of graduate students to Washington, DC to meet with Congressional representatives and advocate for graduate student interests.

Working with the National Association of Graduate & Professional Students (NAGPS), as the Northeast Legislative Director, I participated in monthly legislative meetings, presented on the key policy issues impacting graduate students, and helped recruit new member schools.

In 2014, I was Chair of the NAGPS National Leadership Summit, hosted at Carnegie Mellon University, entitled “Empowering Leaders, Growing Communities.”
